McCain's Speech Tonight!

What must McCain say in his speech tonight to appeal to the moderates and swing voters?

In my opinion, he must distinctly distance himself from George W. Bush! He must show the American people how his administration will change the way things are now run, and have a different agenda.

I wonder if he can pull this off!

I think he will, because he knows he has no other choice!

If he can successfully show separation, he will win the election. If not, he will lose!!

I think that in "W" speech he helped that along. He talked about how McCain did not see eye to eye with him on many things. The crowd even laughed out loud when "W" said it. So that kinda seemed to be an obvious push the help McCain and "W" be seperate.

I agree with PM and I believe he will need to spell out a few things he plans to change.

Re: McCain's Speech Tonight!

He has already distanced himself from the Bush Administration. It's a done deal.

He needs to discuss his plans for Immigration, Health Care, Education, the Economy and all the things at the heart of America. We want to hear what he plans to do.

I listened to Palin's speech a little while ago - again. lol I noticed that at the beginning when she mentioned John McCain she didn't get a huge, thunderous applause, BUT when she was finished presenting herself she got it.

The people felt more defined and settled. Tonight he will do what he wants and needs to do. In his heart America is who he is.

McCain/Palin '08

I will also note that at one point when she said something about Obama dividing the water and healing the planet the audience wasn't as pleased. At that point, she showed that she can be mean and snitty. I saw that side of her today and didn't notice it last night. She's great, don't get me wrong.

As the emotions ebb, objectivity begins to rear its ugly head. I've been trying to say that she ran the risk of coming across that way to people who were objective from day one and that she could have presented herself as above that.

Maybe they weren't following her at that point?
