What If Obama Loses?
Interesting article in today's NY Post...
What If Obama Loses?
The Scenario Obamamaniacs Refuse to Consider:
August 2, 2008
As it turns out, there is a way to render the most vocal Obamamaniac speechless: Ask if the possibility - however slight, however remote - of their candidate losing is something that may have ever, for the briefest moment, crossed their mind.
"I hadn't even thought about it," says Brooklynite Jeff Strabone, who has gone so far as to adopt Obama's middle name, Hussein, as his own. ("I thought, 'Let's make it an asset - like, "I am Spartacus!' "). Strabone was planning to keep the Hussein through election day, but if Obama loses, "I may have to keep it a little longer."
Also, he would cry: "That's what I'll do. It would mean the country wants to go backwards, towards fear, anti-intellectualism. I don't know . . . I don't even want to think about it." "It's funny - I hadn't even thought about it once," says Jake Abraham, who has produced events for the Obama campaign.

Re: What If Obama Loses?
If Obama loses we can look forward to another four years of a Bush Presidency.

I am surprised to hear you spouting Democrat talking points. That is their mantra and just plain goofy.
McCain and Bush have butted heads and been at odds over just about everything.
The only thing Bush and McCain agreed on was the need to win in Iraq rather than turning taiil and running.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

You are confusing the McCain of 2000 with the McCain of 2008.

You guys are on crack.
If a Democrat was President right now, you'd be thinking up all sorts of reasons to connect our country's current ills to him. But because a Republican is President, you are willing to look the other way while our entire country suffers (except the very wealthy, of course....)
Sincerely, I DO NOT believe that this race is a done deal for Mr. Obama anyway. I am convinced that many of his supporters will simply not vote and most of the people who will not vote for him are silent.
Honestly, he has many things going against him.
