The Structures of Freedom - Sermon by Dan Scott
Regardless of what stripe of Pentecostal you are I strongly urge you to watch or listen to this past Sunday's sermon titled "Structures of Freedom" by Christ Church Nashivlle pastor Dan Scott.
It is not a doctrinal message in the sense that there should be nothing to offend the most conservative to the most liberal Pentecostal / Apostolic but there is tremendous truth spoken regarding the origins of our great Country.
Dan said that he normally would not devote an entire sermon to government and has not in the past but could not get away from it when preparing for service yesterday, the Sunday before July 4th.
I was at the early service and the webcast / podcast typically is of the 2nd service but it should be the same sermon.
I would urge you to take the time to listen or watch and once you do you probably will want your kids to do the same if they are old enough to understand the subject.

Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

LOL!!! I knew ths was the worst title for a thread I believe I have ever seen but it was the name of the sermon I thought was one every American should hear so I went with it.
Now I wish I had spent a few minutes come up with some catchy title since only a few people have read the thread and zero responded.
Of course I know when I read a thread like this I usually don't respond until I have a chance to check the thing out someone is recommending and that can take days.
Who knows, someone might actually watch or listen to the sermon at some point!

Wow, thanks CC1, now I can have church every morning at the gym!!
You can't imagine how excited I am about the podcasts of these sermons, those CDs you sent are well worn!!
I know others will hate the fact that CC represents "church" to me but oh well...let them send me a link for THEIR podcasts...

Miss Brattfiedl - Thanks! You get the award for the first person to comment on my sig line. I just knew I was going to get an earful both good and bad but not one single solitary soul had said anything publicly or privately until your post. I have a twisted sense of humor so found that exchange particularly funny.
Carp - You are a bad, bad man! I really need a good MP3 player myself. I bought a cheapo chinese one last year and used it a little. Then I loaded it up with old time radio shows, sermons, Lake Wobegone, etc for my flight to Hawaii and five nights at sea only to have it decide not to work Arghhhh!!!!!!! I would also like to be able to hear podcasts. Of course it wouldn't be at a gym, LOL!!!
