Aviom is the way to go for in-ears: each musician/singer gets a personal 16 channel monitor, you dial in what you want to hear. There is a unit at your board, it sends a signal by Cat 5 cable to your stage, and each monitor gets a feed.
Your bass player and drummer will "feel" the effects and will not like it at first because they need the bottom end to "feel" the music and stay "in-the-pocket" or in tempo. A lot of drummers/bass players use a platform with a sub-woofer and play directly on top of it, these are called, "Butt-Kickers" and they will make up for the lack of bass on the stage. When you get rid of the stage wedge monitors, you will have much more head-room at your board, a cleaner sound in the house, and all your musicians will be happy. If you don't give all of your singers ample volume, they will start to give out on you because the stage is soooo quiet, they NEED to hear themselves to maintain a typical Apostolic song-service. If you don't help them, they WILL lose their voices.
Aviom can be used with headphones or wireless in-ears, Shure makes great ones that can be molded to your ear and split the sound into bass/mid/highs, and they start at around $300. The Aviom system will cost a couple of thousand for a 4-5 player set-up.
