I'm sick of hearing about Obama already. I'd welcome Bill back. Our country is is sad shape if they have to vote a ultra liberal into office, especuially one with Muslim connections. It's a slap in thje face of every American fighting man who has given his life for our freedom.

I believe that Obama has a good chance of swaying many evangelicals away from McCain this year. So many Christians have bought into the notion that Obama wasn't a Christian; however, he has declared his faith when McCain hasn't demonstrated or declared he was a Christian.
The article you shared really framed all the problems with McCain having the support of Evangelicals who were so vital for Bush in 2000 and 2004.
I am not voting for Obama, but I will come to his defense when the lies and deception from many on the right cross the line. We Christians should really pause and think before we help spread lies about a man of faith.

Here is what Obama stated about his "muslim connections":
Obama was referring to an e-mail chain accusing him of being a Muslim with an intent to undermine the United States. Early this year, false reports also circulated that he had attended a madrassa as a child. Obama explained his connection to Islam in this way:
"My father was from Kenya,” he said, “and a lot of people in his village were Muslim. He didn’t practice Islam. Truth is he wasn’t very religious. He met my mother. My mother was a Christian from Kansas, and they married and then divorced. I was raised by my mother. So, I’ve always been a Christian. The only connection I’ve had to Islam is that my grandfather on my father’s side came from that country. But I’ve never practiced Islam."
More: "For a while, I lived in Indonesia because my mother was teaching there. And that’s a Muslim country. And I went to school. But I didn’t practice. But what I do think it does is it gives me insight into how these folks think, and part of how I think we can create a better relationship with the Middle East and that would help make us safer is if we can understand how they think about issues."
"But I'm a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ and have been there 15 years," Obama added.
But the woman who asked the question still wasn't satisfied. She asked Obama to "define what a Christian is."
"Somebody who believes in Jesus Christ as our lord and savior," the senator responded. Obama responding to questions from a woman in a coffee shop in Oskaloosa. Reported by Domenico Montanaro
As far as your comment about a vote for Obama would be a slap in the face for American fighting men, you should check out the facts there as well...It's reported that there were more junior officers and enlisted men who were for Obama than for McCain. Not only did they like the fact that he wasn't going to keep them having to go tour after tour to the Middle East, but he has passed more bills/laws that served their interests.
Check out this link to get an idea of just what Obama has done for our troops:

BTW, I am a veteran and I respect Obama for his faith and what he is doing for my fellow veterans!

The Bush family has extensive connections with the Saudis....closer connections than Obama has with his father who abandoned him as a child. Exaggerating this kind of thing and repeating nothing but mess, and then invoking those fighting for our country for bravado is far more disrespectful to them.
Get real.
