How old was Lonnie?

I don't know exactly. For reference purposes, I was still a "kid" - late teens just breaking into my twenties when I first met him and he was a "grown up." And at that same time, the young woman in the pic in your sig line was grade school to middle school age (I don't remember which was which between her and a sister).

So, Brother Brown must have been in his fifties when he passed away.

I'm not familiar with him at all.
Who was this brother? A pastor? preacher?
Does anybody have any information to share regarding this brother?... or a webpage/link?

He was just one of those "swell" guys who seemed to always be around. As the Bible Quizzing ministry grew he was selected to assist Brother Marvin Walker in reading the quizzes at national tournaments because they had similar sounding voices and Mid-Western accents. Any "kids" who grew up around Bible Quizzing (and the adults who used to be those kids) knew Lonnie Brown well.

My own kids all have the ubiquitous "I'm Down with Lonnie Brown" t-shirts that were being sold as a fund raiser for the Browns and to lift Bother Lonnie's spirits.
