Some of us holier folks believe that a necktie is a cloth necklace and as such would fall into the ornament, jewelry, pride, etc. category and would not be worn by a REAL Christian.

I don't consider myself "holier" but I'm with you an the necktie. I can't understand why this piece of ornamental cloth is so defended by people who also claim to believe in separation from worldly attire.
