The matter of the fact the interchangable words - forum, discussion, thread did almost keep you in bed.

Nope, you are not all wrong. Just on this particular point about what we mean when we say "thread".

Some of the things said in this thread yesterday bothered me ... enough that I pulled the covers over my head and went back to sleep. Once in a while we all have mornings like that.
