It was a horrible moment and completely unnecessary. Sure, I'm too politically correct, but it's a much better mistake to make, in my opinion. Why eliminate part of the audience by being loose with words? Makes no sense.
I think your off you rocker on some things, but you are on the money with this one.

Just sayin'....

And GP is a little rough around the edges, but he is a very nice man. I have seen him speak to situations in people's lives that no one could have known but God. My best friend was one of those people. He turned to the audience and said, "If you drag up this woman's past, you are digging through the blood of Jesus Christ." Amen! She was delivered that night from YEARS of self-condemnation. It was an awesome service. He didn't know her from Adam.
Just because one is used by God doesn't excuse carnality, they should be held accountable, but doubt a forum will do that.

This statement is true for any person I've encountered ... If he said it and she finally realized it ... Praise God ... but it wasn't because he read her mail or didn't know her from Adam.

In the same service, Poe speaks to his ability to read people's mail .... and makes these general sweeping statements to various ladies at the altar service ... only to declare they've been delivered the minute they start shockamooing and shaking.

I'll admit, I don't quite have the....well, whatever it is it takes....to call someone out by name like he does. It's not my style, but it's his and when RM makes the very harsh, no-room-for-negotiation-statement he did, and THEN head-bangs with James Brown music the next week, I think it's news and I don't get "You should hate him too" from DA.

2) I'm sure Poe is a nice man and has some good things on his resume. But that doesn't excuse in any way at all his mockery, lack of class, and lack of wisdom. When I compare his schtick with any of the writings of the NT, I can't find one ounce of similarity.
NOW,
When you say that you "love" someone, you don't drag them out like a gladiator sport for the masses. Totally hypocritical, IMO.

And there is a whole lot of mockery, lack of class and wisdom posted on this forum, so I guess GP doesn't stand alone. He has a very rough background and it comes out in his personality as does Jeff Arnold's. Some of my past shows up in mine as well.

Yet you only grant this latitude to the chosen ... gotcha PO. I agree lots of hypocrisy to smear around.

He spoke to her, quietly, about the things she had been struggling with for years. He didn't say it out loud to everyone, but he did say the "digging through the blood" out loud.

The amazing part of the story is that I saw that he wanted to say something to her several times, during the morning service, but he never did. I kept wondering what he was thinking.

He had no idea that the people who had hurt her the most happened to be visiting and in that service. So, whatever he said to her, she wouldn't have been able to overcome it with those people present.

He did finally address her in the evening service. The visitors were not there that night. It was God's timing - perfect timing. She is doing very well today because of that service. I give God all the glory!

I'm not taking up for some of the crass things he has said, because I don't like it myself, but God does use him.
