Re: Nathan

Best wishes to you, Nathan. Back in the day you knew me under another screen name.

Hope you're having a Merry Christmas wherever you are.

I am alive, quite well, and happy. I applied my abilities toward the pursuit of business and have enjoyed great success. I am continuing on that path and remain confident about my future.

With time, introspection, and experience, I have come to hold radically different views of God, the church, and self, than in the past.

To explain "why" I did what I did, the totality of my mindset and the immediate circumstances, would involve writing at length. Much of what I would have to say, the majority of people either would not relate to, or would refuse to believe.

I made my own choices, I am responsible for my actions just as much then as I am today. I do not believe I was damaged by those who undermined my faith - on the contrary, they helped set me free. I am unplugged now, in tune with myself and the realities of this world, in a way that I never was before. For that reason, I think those who were criticized in this thread, are undeserving of such. Was my response to freedom appropriate? No. Yet that blame cannot be laid at anyone's feet but my own.

Thank you sincerely, for those who sent me letters, asked to visit, etc. Especially those who supported my family.
To me, that could be a scary place.

Re: Nathan

Nathan, I have also thought about you from time to time. Glad you seem to be doing well.

We all have sinned...the best part is when we get back up after falling.

Nathan,

I am glad you are ok.I will continue to pray that you are led to make Christ the center of your life even if at this time you don't think you believe in him or his work on Calvary for you.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

But if you're having a bad day, use the drive-through.
Wow, CS said something nice about me! Ok, so it was 7 years ago, but it still made me go....awwwww.....

I miss the old posters! It made me so sad reading through this thread, and just about every single person on it, are no longer posters here.

Where did everyone go???
