Even got that wrong. Judas was one of the 12 and his replacement was also a disciple.

By the way, Paul was not one of "the 12". How do non believers explain that? Are your numbers off?

The great commission tells to make disciples. It mentions no limits.

Todays apostolics are apostles. There seems to be some spreading the idea that the number was capped at 12.

Re: Praying People Through

OK, so no where in the bible does is actually state that speaking in tongues is the initial evidence of receiving the Holy Ghost.

Isn't it kind of like a hazing for a fraternity. You go down and go through the struggle of the initiation and once you have made it through you are in the club. I don't mean to be disrespectful but I did grow up in this and the anxiety and nervousness that goes along with a pentecostal altar service is something I don't ever want to be a part of again.

Smith that owns the Calvary chapel is a legalist

on tongues.

He has them go to a separate room after worship services.

People that don't speak in tongues try to enforce the rules.

How can I tell the difference between "Corinth people [who] were trying to give messages in tongues all at once..." and a typical Pentecostal/Charismatic style worship service where everyone speaks in tongues at the same time?

Are not both groups "mad", in Paul's words?

How can I tell if a cold denomination that observes no events of glossalalia is any different than a Muslim congregation?

Obviously, I'm not in any position to evaluate your gifts coadie, and I certainly wouldn't presume to judge, the only thing I'm in a position to do here is to talk with you about what you have said.

Concerning "apostles" and "the household of God," Ephesians 2:20 states:

"And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone."

Do you feel that apostles and prophets today are continuing to build this foundation, or was this a part of a specific mission for a specific group of "apostles and prophets" in the first century?

Actually Paul did not say that the congregation in Corinth was mad,he said if a unbeliever comes amongs't a congregation and all speak with tongues that would be the unbeliever's reaction.
If everybody in a congregation speaks in tongues addressing a congregation all at once, that would be out of order, but don't throw the baby out with the bathwater either.
Please Read 1 COR.12,13,14 in context.
