this is true, the dems only make hannity and rush more popular by attacking them, lol

NFL? You mean The "National Felon League?" You've got to be kidding. The media also fired Michael Savage as well. Rush was no more controversial than Howard Cosell at the height of his popularity, or even some of John Madden's comments (go from the two hole to the "a hole" and get it past the reciever). But Rush is controversial, huh? Rush is controversial because the media can't shut him up, and he has the listeners to prove it. As opposed to Air America, or as we call them, "Scare America," which is losing money.

i'm opposed to Rush being on a NFL show...because I think he doesn't know beans about football. As for Michael Savage...i've heard him a couple of times on the radio...tried to read a book he wrote...and i have no problem with him going too.

back to Rush....i just never enjoyed listening to someone talk about all the stuff they are against....other than the sound of his own voice...whats he for?

He "validates" the opinions of millions who don;t find any other media outlet that either espouses conservative ideas or even allows them any air time at all.

And he can be funny. His radio program launched the career of political parody artist Paul Shanklin.

I listened to him a lot in the "early days" during the first George H. W. Bush admin around 1989 -1992. He was a breath of fresh air.

i guess i don't see him as a champion of conservative ideas...as much as a champion of Rush ideas.

the last time i heard Rush was back in the early 90's....i guess i'm not looking for a talking head to "validate" my opinions....whatever that means.

He can get self righteous now and then, and there are times where I have stopped listening. But I enjoy him, and one of his "guest hosts," Jason Lewis has a program up here in the Twin Cities that's awfully closer to what I, and many others, believe. Jason also takes more phone calls when he's hosting for Rush.
As to Rush not knowing beans about football, I also listen to some of the blowhard sports analysts (Keith Olbermann used to be one) and feel the same way. What makes John Madden so good, or any of the others?
As for Michael Savage, he doesn't play to the GOP or the DFL. I think also saw no difference between the two parties at times and is the first who coined the phrase "Repulicrat." A republican and a democrat. He doesn't play "single party politics" like Rush might. He's also ticked off the Islamofacists, so he can't be all that bad.

Love him or hate him, for someone in his profession he's been at the top of the heap a long, long time. He knows what he's doing. Being a conservatibe I do identify whith him. Don't listen much, he is a bit of a Johnnie one-note.

He's also quite funny IMO.

I find it somewhat ironic that Barry Hussein NO-bama is griping about the financial "pork" (private jets and personal designers for CEO's) that private businesses dish out, but nothing about the political pork that we're forced to pay for.

My favorite guest host is Dr Walter Williams (his wife is apparently required to use the title 'Doctor' in their home as well). His economic classes should be required be each and every American.
