I agree. Still, when I went to that church I heard them mention baptism in a way that I realized my own church hadn't talked about in years.

I was just surprised at the way baptism was mentioned.

I believe baptism is a commandment as well.

Re: Grace Church Of Humble...

Just read thru this thread. I had NO idea that Roland Baker had left the UPC. Maybe that would explain why my husband's letter from HQ was addressed to Bro. Baker! LOL

I'm not sure that JF will leave...

Anyway a preacher preached a sermon where he likened the UPC to Noahs ark and the implication was that if you were not UPC you were not going to be saved. Even back then I found that pretty amazing and that was before I "went charismatic".
it was robert henson, who preached the sermon, Gods pentecostal Ark, the charasmatic rowboats and independent tugs are goin down but Gods upc ark is sailin thru, lol

Re: Grace Church Of Humble...

Is the Jeremy Foster you are talking about the same one who is speaking at the ACN conference this week? Also, I thought I read somewhere that CW Colegrove helped LH Hardwick with the formation of Global Network.

Yes, I believe so about JF. He is connected with a lot of guys in the ACN. I'm not sure about Colegrove helping Hardwick. That would be for someone else to answer
