The major problem with ANY organization or church, for that matter, is the heart of the leader(s). If they are servants, things, for the most part, will go well. If they expect to be served, then you will be controlled and taxed from "Dan to Beersheba!"

I have one Shepherd-Jesus. The Church has one head-Jesus.
Are there authorities he places in our lives? Yes. Are all good? No. Are all bad? No.
Any man who has to preach about himself and all he has done, in order to maintain authority, or any man who has to put out demands or threats for people to follow him, is NOT leading. We chose the leaders we follow. If we aren't following, there is nothing for them to lead.
A true preacher/pastor/evangelist/etc will lift up Jesus, not him/herself.
Bump for TulsaDavid. Just wondering, is it because the bashers are in grave danger of God punishing them (there have been stories posted here on AFF of mockers being killed on the spot, e.g.)? Or is it that they're sadly deluded? Or is it that they'll miss out on some kind of blessing because of their attitude? Or what? Just wondering.

I have heard many variations of rapid and sever punishment myself over the years. It is always "I know someone who heard of this happening to someone else......"

Organizations are not the result of out of control egos.
I do not believe that to be the case for every organization anyway.
I don't believe that to be the rule for most organizations.
I don't believe that Sis A believes that all org's are the result of egos either. I do agree with her though. God does NOT need organizations. Men on the other hand seem to thrive on them. I do not believe that org's are bad but I believe there are bad apples in every org.
