I think your info is a little off on this one. The exhibit area is determined by availability of space at or near (or not so near) the arena. I don't think it has anything to do with saving costs. The preference is to have it connected as in Louisville, a big reason imho why they are going back there.

I stated that I don't have the numbers in hand.
Any time you put on a conference of this size the costs are huge. That's one of the downsides to growth.
Plus, some Pentecostals can be notoriously cheap.

True. They always try very hard to get as close to the arena as possible.
That's why Louisville and Salt Lake always have the best sales results.

Then it might be advantageous to split into 2 or more groups so the GC's of each group can be more easily and efficiently handled.

That would make sense.

But surely the upside to growth would be MORE $$$$! ???

That is what I was saying about the splitting up thing...

More people generally means more money.

If having more people costs more money than having the same people brings in then the model has become inefficient and needs to be re-evaluated.

It appears that, on this issue at least, the storm has reached the power that it's own velocity is beginning to break it down.

Are we saying there are outstanding bills from previous GC's?

Someone please tell me ... how they can claim to have this debt ??? Are they filing bankruptcy if the $25 fee is not issued??
Can someone help me understand this ... I know each "thing" has it's own budget ... but ....

You do the research. I already did mine.
Louisville was centrally located, had good motels within driving distance, and SteakNShake.

I know there were throngs of GC visitors who detoured to see the Grand Canyon when they went to Phoenix via Las Vegas. Many told how they liked the drive through the AZ desert and the cost of the tickets. I know many who still use GC for family vacation time also.

Not UPC basing, but we are witnessing the gradual demise (as we have known it) of a once great organization. I believe the beginning of the demise began in 1992. So sad. I hope that they pull out of their mess. This particular mess is only symptomatic of much deeper, systemic problem(s).

Only an opinion.
I will do the same thing!

The General Board was out of line in making that decision as far as I am concerned. I wonder why they did not bring the matter to the conference floor? We all know WHY! I am not saying anything here I that I have not already said to my DS. It is not the moneythat is my problem...It is the principle of the thing! JMHO
