You however do not present the Gospel as most of our Oneness Pioneers did ... including Haywood, Goss, Urshan, Haney, Gurley, etc.

It is you neo-conservatism that has strayed from our OP roots.
That's the problem though, Dan. From everything I have read from those who knew the PCI crowd, and was familiar with what and how they preached, folks like you are staking a claim to something that doesn't come close to what you believe or how you present baptism. If I can put it this way without being offensive, y'all are posin as PCI folk when true PCI folk wouldn't claim y'all.

No not any doctrine ...

Essential for obedience ... continued disobedience demonstrates unbelief ... and Jesus said those who do not believe are condemned.

The blood was applied at Calvary ... we receive forgiveness/remission ... or the Greek word for both terms ... aphesis ... when we turn to God placing faith in Him and His Sacrifice and Resurrection for our salvation...

Acts 3:19

19"Therefore (A)repent and return (turn to God), so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that (B)times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;

I will leave you all with this deep thought.

I am always right.

Daniel is almost always wrong.

The only exception being when Daniel decides to agree with me.

G'night.

Interestingly enough we have PCIers on this forum who preach and teach it similarly and have deep PCI roots and family that was on the original charter ...

Harleypreacher ... the Cupples ... etc.

Yet it's the TRINITARIANS ARE NOT MY BROTHER and GOING TO HELL CROWD who would not even sit at the table w/ Apostolic giants like Haywood and Urshan.

Its the neo-Oneness conservatives who have isolated and separated themselves from the Body.

Is not baptism For the remission of sins?

Their are two types of "fors" Tim ... one resultant ... one causal ... even in English. Of course, the words are in Greek.

Example ... Osama is wanted for murder ...

Does this for mean to cause a murder ... or is this use of for ... for the result of a murder???

It boils down to the much debated GREEK TERM EIS among baptismal regenerationists (Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, 3 steppers) and the rest of Protestant Orthodoxy.

Eis is best translated as "w/ a view towards" when we look at it's various translations and in context to the tenor of the New Testament....

Also the word remission .... aphesis is also used in Acts 2:38 ... which means forgiveness ...

Remission in the bible means forgiveness ... not washing or wiping. That's how the Apostles used it ... today 3 steppers have added meaning to it.

No need to get defensive and testy ... you stated it's too watered down and I asked why. When that statement is used (too watered down) MOST times it's because there is no mention of holiness or dress standards.

Instead becoming defensive and sarcastic, you could simply answer yes or no and state why you feel it's too watered down.

Can I get an answer to the question?
