While you picked one case from 1988, how is this any different than Sharia Tribunals? In the beginning Muslim officials in the UK claimed that these Sharia courts would be "voluntary" and would strictly only pertain to non-criminal matters. Now, in the UK, Sharia courts are conducting a parallel legal system.

Now, Dr. Taher El-badawi, a Sharia judge in Texas, was asked if Sharia law conflicted with American law, which would he follow - "We follow Sharia Law".

So, of course, I agree with Bobby Jindal - “They join our military, they start companies, they work to create a better community. And that’s wonderful. What’s not acceptable is people that want to come and conquer us. That’s not immigration, by the way, that’s colonization. If someone wants to come here and change our fundamental culture and our values. If they want to come here and they want to set up their own culture and values that’s not immigration, that’s really invasion — if you’re honest about it.

As missing as your awareness of the process outlined in the new testament of how to discipline a "brother", which the case detail outlines nicely.

I am aware of a "piano player" case that was pulled off without a hitch. No legal problems, no paperwork. The forgiveness (ordered from the pulpit as in the referenced earlier case) was granted because the new testament teaches that if your pastor says to do it you obey.
