Ha wholly inadequate, yes, but one
just doesn't come to a complete understanding
of God, in Christ, overnight? And guilt eats people alive.
Usually repressed, compounding. Ever met anyone
who just can't admit they're wrong,
or say they're sorry? Genuinely sorry,
not some codependent apology that
ends up like an excuse.
Ok, well, no matter how far down
that path one has gone, and bro,
I seriously doubt most of us have a clue
how far that is, one can come to Christ,
and name their sin out loud, and be forgiven.
If the sin was against me,
I may not
forgive you, but God, through Christ will.
This does not mean that you will escape
the temporal consequences of this action,
but that you will be redeemed from the spiritual one;
the only one that matters.
This is simplified, there are other steps
to take in order to show genuine contriteness,
one should temporally admit and apologize,
because, duh, it makes the temporal consequences
less severe...so don't, and see what happens.
The Kingdom in a nutshell; a perfect reflection.
Or at least a pretty good one, hmm.
And the sentence was death, of course.
Now, eventually you're going to run across
"an eye for an eye," so why all the "death sentence"
for sneezing stuff?
but that's another thread
