So using a pagan date for a celebration for which the Bible says nothing somehow makes it more "important"? How exactly does that work?
Uhhmmm...I don’t know what you use for your source material, but the RCC hijacked that pagan "holy day" long before the RCC and its daughters commercialized it.
"What better way"? How about by doing what the people of God always did in the Bible; by separating themselves in appearance and in activities from the ways of their surrounding unregenerate world.
It can also be done on a day other than one set aside for a pagan celebration.

Show me a single day in the 365 that does not have a pagan connection.
We do not worship in the spirit of the pagan idols or gods.
We worship in spirit and truth.
We do not cling to the Roman Catholic Church and it's practices.
We do not visit a Catholic church to celebrate Mass on Dec 25th.
We gather together our family's eat good food, open gifts.
If Dec 25th is your hang up then gather together on Dec 24th.
You seem to be fixed on the date......
Again we worship The Lord Jesus Christ.
Not some pagan god...
