Being stressed is not a qualification.

It's not just lip service to say raising children properly is one of the most important occupations on earth. Intentional or not, I think Rosen was showing a bias that many American women distain.

I never heard walking behind the homes. I'm still surprised that this all happened at 7 in the evening as opposed to a more suspicious time of night.

She wasn't speaking about children, she was speaking of the economic challenge. And there is some merit in that conversation. Motherhood is time honored, no doubt about that. But to say that Ann Romney has any experience or inkling of what it feels like to struggle economically is the argument. It's not about her children or her motherhood.

And, really, this topic should have it's own thread.

I wonder what his answer would be.
He was likely speaking of the "they" that were robbing and stealing in the neighborhood. If he was just going home, why was he not walking on the sidewalk instead of slipping aroung close to the houses?

I did not hear anything about him slipping around houses or being behind houses anywhere else but in this thread. I would think that he might have mentioned him being behind houses in the 911 call. The only location I actually heard was near the clubhouse. I heard him say he was looking at houses I believe, but I think that if he was slipping into back yards and such, that would be key info on the tape.

Also from the footage I saw, these are not stand alone houses but more like apartments. I think it becomes even more tricky. People who live in those kinds of places routinely take routes that are not your traditional walk down the street like it would be in my neighborhood. But once again, I did not hear anything about him being anywhere overtly suspicious.

When our girls were little, we lived in apartments and the sidewalks wound around and between the buildings. Even if he was walking between buildings, he still could have been on sidewalks or in commonly used walkways. There's no way to walk around apartment buildings and not be close to the houses. They're already close together.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Actor and comedian Bill Cosby says the debate over the killing of Trayvon Martin by a neighborhood watch volunteer should be focused on guns, not race.

Mitt said he consulted with his wife about women's issues and Rosen basically was saying she couldn't know what women care about since she hasn't worked a day I her life. But since Rosen feels that liberals like her know what women care about and women like Ann don't, it's preposterous to think that what Ann has to say to Mitt will help him grasp what women care about. The hypocrisy is that you have to assume that Ann isn't a real woman and women like her aren't and their opinions don't count. It's also hypocritical to believe that wealth somehow prevents struggle, fear, difficulties, sickness and uncertainty. It doesn't. The challenges in life might be different based on economics, but life is no respecter of persons when it comes to heartache, disappointment, loneliness and sadness.

Re: Anger + Sadness = RAGE

At best, Cosby's assertion is premature.
