I think MFBlumes arguement at least to me...leads towards once saved always saved... because if once perfected we wouldn't need repentance...

I wanted to say that before, but I was too spiritually mature to do so...

No way. lol. The bible says so long as we walk after the Spirit we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Stop walking after the Spirit and fall!

BTW, did you notice your assertion sounds like what Paul expected people to misunderstand his words and say:

Rom 6:15 KJV What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Mfblume, I really do understand your argument, and it's sound to a point. I trust the Lord to keep me; however, it's "me" I don't necessarily trust. Know what I mean?

I think that advertising on television would be a good start... using all the technology available to spread the Gospel...

In closing, that was Paul's whole point. HE was the problem. When HE would do good, without reliance on the Spirit, evil was present with him. He saw a pattern. HE was the culprit. So when he learned this, and ceased walking after the flesh (which is really only reliance on self to impreove self through self effort without reliance on the Spirit in faith), he found success!

We are not to trust self at all! Hence, we rely on the Spirit, as Ro 6:13 shows.

evangelism, personal witness, expansion of the Church's influence, going into all the world, etc.

I've got to go, and you'll be limited without my vast, unlimited intellect, but go on to perfection faithfully...
