Re: I Can't Stand Romney.

Gingrich's newest joke is that, if he wins the nomination, he won't debate Obama if the debate is moderated by a member of the media. Obama would LOVE that! He would love to skip the debates.

None, not one of the current candidates excite me or make me glad to vote for them. Not one. Gingrich is a Bill Clinton, womanizing, 60s yuppy; Romney is a robot with no charisma; Paul is somewhat nuts; and Santorum is out of his league.

You better recruit a couple of more people to vote for him to take our place.
I'm getting closer to the point of sitting out the general election myself. For a while I've said I'll vote against obama no matter what, but I'm disliking romney more and more.

It's amazing to me that polling, in Florida and I am sure is true nationally, that the most important quality for voters was winning, which Romney won on that.

But, the most important quality for a true conservative credential went to Gingrich getting 46% of the vote, Santorum coming in second at 26%, Ron Paul 16% and Romney coming in last at 11%.

So, the voters polled want to win more than they want a conservative on the ticket. For a, supposedly, conservative party, I'm thinking that they don't deserve to win with that kind of thinking. It's hard to support that from where I'm sitting. What a waste of time.

I'm beginning to really like Santorum. Why isn't he more popular among Republicans?

He has a record of using earmarks when he was in Congress. That's a bigger deal now that we are focusing on balancing the budget. He also, while in Congress, advocated for larger government programs in education and transportation.

Although a social conservative, he was not fiscally responsible while in Congress.

He also doesn't have a good ground game, aside from Iowa.

But, aside from that, I do like him better than the other two candidates. I like anyone better than Mitt Romney.

I'm a realist, if he can't get to the White House he will not lead the country. If the republicans don't put the strongest candidate on the ticket, we get four more years of Obama, and his leftist agenda.

Your hatred for Romney is extraordinary, presidential campaigning is a nasty business, only the fitness for the dirty job will reach the White House. I certainly hope it will be one of the GOP four, and not the liberal we have now.

Re: I Can't Stand Romney.

Well, this article certainly made my day!!! Someone gets it!!

Quote:
Romney's Cheap and Empty Win

Out of Bob Dole's and John McCain's tattered Big Tent steps another "reformed" RINO, Mitt Romney,
who will receive, should he win the nomination, a similar thumping from the Democrats.

But let's say that he is "electable," for the sake of argument. Who cares? The purpose of politics in a republic is not simply to win but to win on sound principles.

The "electability" argument is bankrupt on both philosophical and practical grounds. It destroys the party's soul and guarantees defeat.

Almost two years after energy from the Tea Party swept Republicans back into congressional power, a politician who embodies the antithesis of that spirit stands on the verge of victory. This is regress, not progress, and the GOP will pay a severe price for the Faustian bargain of "electability" that it entails. A party that chooses power over principle will lose both.

I don't hate Romney. I am just disgusted by him and the GOP. The previous article I posted is spot on!

How absolutely, ridiculous AND stupid to vote for electability and not sound principle.

Good grief, Charlie Brown. Have we lost our ever loving minds!
