Exactly Seth -- he did.

But Seth of the stuff he loaded me down with I found out wasn't even so. The young man has real problems he was NOT stable enough to be on a forum like FCF. I carried a real burden for him and I hope one day he will come to himself and get everything straighten out that is my prayer.

You blaming lib Pentecost for his state makes as much sense as me blaming his conservative UPC upbringing on him turning out the way he did.

The truth of the matter is that there is a character flaw at work here and I have a suspicion perhaps some "enviromental" factors.

Bottom line is when a person breaks from a correct relationship with God and relies on his own intellect alone he is doomed for failure and disaster. If not in this life then in the one to come.

Submission to God's word and Spirit is not exclusive to old time Pentecost and when people lay that down they are doomed.

I doubt very seriously he laid that down at the point he was a lib Pentecostal.
We were just a bump in his proverbial road.
You are right CC1. Some folks jump straight from UPC doctrine to hell bent sin.

Nathan was one of those kids who had a mercurial type of personality and a pretty brilliant mind.

I remember when he first showed up on the forum where I originally started posting. Good heavens! He was barely 16 years old and he was writing essays on the Godhead that were pretty phenomenal considering they were being written by a kid!

It wasn't the fact that he was challenging what he'd been taught that led to his downfall.

In my opinion, he got on a road of challenging and questioning every kind of authority, and considering himself above it all.

I do believe there is and was a connection.

Not everyone who starts down that road ends up going as far as he did, but the fact is, it is a dangerous, deadly path to travel.

Yep - that's true and you're right.

I think you are an altogether much more stable person with stronger moral character than the young man in question.

Furthermore, you lack the acidic, arrogant spirit that he often manifested.

So, to answer your question, I think you are ok with going to the bank.

But if you're having a bad day, use the drive-through.

What about me? I have the identical attitude that he often manifested (in my opinion)... yet I do not rob banks.
