Also, as for your last question, it's still free will that's happening in the decision I make to want to avoid punishment and gain a reward. I mean I know people with no fear of hell (due to their lack of understanding or love for their sin) or people deceived into thinking they won't go to hell, but their free will is still in effect, they just happen to be people who are opposing themselves.

Ok, I wont argue with your not being 100% Arminian... not worth the distraction of the thread.
So, you are saying that you have a choice as to whether you want punishment or reward? Can you give an example? I guarantee any example you can give I can show you how you are wrong and every action is dictated by such, except biological factors.

Oh, no it's fine... I just really don't want an Arminian vs Calvinist debate I am trying to see where people fall of in their understanding of a certain concept most christians don't believe in....
Feel free to answer my questions if you are Arminian or some other free will belief system.

By not participating in this discussion you avoided humiliation thus negative reinforcement was exhibited. You did this because the end result would have been an aversive and thus you had no choice in the matter.

These scriptures are arguing Arminianism, not the control your mind has over your actions... This is why I ignored them.
I am not wanting to get into the scriptural context of religiosity here, what I want to know is how many people really feel they are in control of their actions or if people believe their actions are dictated by a function.

Yes, our actions are dictated by functions. Our mind functions. (and our mind and spirit are entertwined.)

So you do believe, that maybe with the exception of some actions you behavior is dictated by the drive of a function.
So, for example going to church might have hundreds of reinforcements associated but the ultimate function is eternal security... the behavior may be strengthened by social factors etc.
So, since there is one person out there willing to entertain my foolish question, do you think we tend to believe we have more control over actions then we really do?
