Our house has 4 boys, a bird, 2 turtles, a fish tank full of fish, 2 ferrets, and 2 dogs.
We had gotten an Akita about 4 years ago and she is spoiled rotten. talks back worse than the boys do. We are trying to get her prayed through so she is not such a brat.
Three weeks ago I picked my wife up from work and this pitbul who has been wondering around that neighborhood for some time follows her to the van. She has not spoken to it or touched it. She opens the back door to put somethings in and this dog sniffs in the van and just jumps in and sits down between the seats. She had no tags and was very thin to the point you could see her ribs really well. We took her home and she has fit right in with the family. She is the sweetest best behaved dog I have seen.
Give it time your husband will be more crazy about the dog than you are. Maybe even make you jealous that he spends more time with it than you.
