Thanks for reminding me about this. I had actually forgotten about it. I initially responded to you on the apology only, but went back to look more at the details. You might want to remember to check anything that Reuters or the AP puts out.

This part of the Reuters article shows how dishonest the Republicans are and how much they want to destroy Cruz for standing on his promises and his principles.

"Cruz's actions inadvertently allowed Democratic leaders to advance nearly two dozen Obama nominees."

This was not true as the video explains. The video also explains what Cruz apologized for and what he wasn't apologizing for.

I'm really happy Cruz got a poll boost from the debate...even though Fox tried to block him out and limit him in the debate. Cruz also didn't appear desperate like Rand, when Rand interrupted Bier and Trump at the very beginning of the debate. Cruz was patient and waited for a question, then gave very solid answers.

Yes, he did, which to Chris Wallace's credit, commented later about how articulate he was. Not only a boost in the polls, but in the funding that night after the debate.

I am still amazed at how quick and intelligent he was when Megyn, snidely, handed down the God question.

All of this coincides with NBC releasing a poll this weekend showing a national outpouring of support with Cruz surging to second place overall with 13 percent nationwide.

As the Washington Post reported, “The most Googled candidate in the debate at any point was Ted Cruz — with 67 percent more searches at his peak than the next most-searched candidate’s peak.”

Also over the past 100 hours, Cruz has been engaged in a bus tour across the so-called “SEC primary” states. From South Carolina to Georgia to Alabama to Tennessee (and on to Mississippi and Arkansas and Oklahoma), every event has been standing room only – with hundreds or thousands coming out to support he campaign. "If you look at the Federal Budget, the most important factor is economic growth. I'm a numbers guy. If you look at the numbers in the budget, there is only one first order variable, and that's growth. Since WWII, our economy has grown an average of 3.3% a year. There are only two four year periods where growth averaged less than 1% a year - 1978-1982, coming out of the Jimmy Carter Administration. And 2008-2012, where it averaged 0.9% a year. It is why my top priority, in the Senate, from day one has been economic growth. Because WITH growth, we can solve the deficit and debt. With growth we can tackle unemployment. With growth can rebuild our military to keep America safe. With growth we can strengthen Social Security. Without growth, it's impossible. The numbers don't work. If we stay at a stagnant 1 and 2% growth rates, you can't cut enough to balance the Federal Budget. The math simply doesn't work. So, let's go back to the last 4 year period, '78-'82. What happened? Reagan came in and he pursued tax reform and regulatory reform. He cut taxes, he simplified the tax code, he reduced the burdens of regulation. Does anyone know what the GDP growth was in 1984 (4th year of Reagan's presidency)? 7.2%!"
