Thanks for reminding me about this. I had actually forgotten about it. I initially responded to you on the apology only, but went back to look more at the details. You might want to remember to check anything that Reuters or the AP puts out.
This part of the Reuters article shows how dishonest the Republicans are and how much they want to destroy Cruz for standing on his promises and his principles.
"Cruz's actions inadvertently allowed Democratic leaders to advance nearly two dozen Obama nominees."
This was not true as the video explains. The video also explains what Cruz apologized for and what he wasn't apologizing for.
What Cruz got out of that was a list of people who lied to get elected and voted for Amnesty.
Alexander (TN), Ayotte (NH), Barrasso (WY),
Blunt (MO), Boozman (AR), Burr (NC), Coats (IN), Cochran (MS), Collins
(ME), Cornyn (TX), Enzi (WY), Fischer (NE), Graham (SC), Hatch (UT),
Hoeven (ND), Isakson (GA), Johanns (NE), Kirk (IL), McConnell (KY),
Murkowski (AK), Roberts (KS), Thune (SD), Toomey (PA), Wicker (MS).
If you can't see why the Republican Establishment hates him, then I can't help you. Because he is Senator, they are deer in the headlights. You KNOW they can't have him as President.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
Men and women across this country are looking for a strong, principled Conservative. Notice he wisely cuts off the interview when they bring up Donald Trump.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
Remembering a great article.
Quote:
The Absolutist
Ted Cruz is an unyielding debater—and the far right’s most formidable advocate.
June 30,2014
Ted Cruz, the Republican junior senator from Texas, has heard the line about how the Party needs to become more moderate to win Presidential elections. “It is amazing that the wisdom of the chattering class to the Republicans is always, always, always ‘Surrender your principles and agree with the Democrats,’ ” he told me. “That’s been true for my entire lifetime. The chattering classes have consistently said, ‘You crazy Republicans have to give up on what you believe and become more like Democrats.’ And, I would note, every time Republicans do that we lose.”

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
I'm really happy Cruz got a poll boost from the debate...even though Fox tried to block him out and limit him in the debate. Cruz also didn't appear desperate like Rand, when Rand interrupted Bier and Trump at the very beginning of the debate. Cruz was patient and waited for a question, then gave very solid answers.

Yes, he did, which to Chris Wallace's credit, commented later about how articulate he was. Not only a boost in the polls, but in the funding that night after the debate.
I am still amazed at how quick and intelligent he was when Megyn, snidely, handed down the God question.

Cruz Campaign Experiences Fundraising Surge Following Debate
Over $1 million raised in the 100 hours after the debate
HOUSTON, Texas — In the 100 hours since the first debate, the Ted Cruz campaign has seen an extraordinary outpouring of financial support. In those few days the campaign:
Raised $1,092,1571
Received over 10,000 contributions
Online contributions averaged $54.77
Our webpage had 295,911 page views
Our posts on Facebook generated 20,457,661 impressions
Our tweets generated 12,332,304 impressions
All of this coincides with NBC releasing a poll this weekend showing a national outpouring of support with Cruz surging to second place overall with 13 percent nationwide.
As the Washington Post reported, “The most Googled candidate in the debate at any point was Ted Cruz — with 67 percent more searches at his peak than the next most-searched candidate’s peak.”
Also over the past 100 hours, Cruz has been engaged in a bus tour across the so-called “SEC primary” states. From South Carolina to Georgia to Alabama to Tennessee (and on to Mississippi and Arkansas and Oklahoma), every event has been standing room only – with hundreds or thousands coming out to support he campaign. RSVPs for each event surged over 50% in the hours following the debate.
The wave of grassroots support is growing. The outpouring of financial support shows that Americans are ready for someone who will tell the truth and has consistently done what they said they’d do. They are ready for a consistent conservative who has fought to break the Washington Cartel and will fight to make America great again.

After Decades, Ted Cruz Finally Reunites With Pastor Who Led His Father to Christ
Republican presidential candidate and Texas Senator Ted Cruz reunited for the first time in decades with the pastor who baptized him and led his father to Jesus in the 1970s, during a campaign stop in Tennessee this week.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
Trump making a splash in media, but Ted Cruz is talking specifics.
Quote:
"If you look at the Federal Budget, the most important factor is economic growth. I'm a numbers guy. If you look at the numbers in the budget, there is only one first order variable, and that's growth. Since WWII, our economy has grown an average of 3.3% a year. There are only two four year periods where growth averaged less than 1% a year - 1978-1982, coming out of the Jimmy Carter Administration. And 2008-2012, where it averaged 0.9% a year. It is why my top priority, in the Senate, from day one has been economic growth. Because WITH growth, we can solve the deficit and debt. With growth we can tackle unemployment. With growth can rebuild our military to keep America safe. With growth we can strengthen Social Security. Without growth, it's impossible. The numbers don't work. If we stay at a stagnant 1 and 2% growth rates, you can't cut enough to balance the Federal Budget. The math simply doesn't work. So, let's go back to the last 4 year period, '78-'82. What happened? Reagan came in and he pursued tax reform and regulatory reform. He cut taxes, he simplified the tax code, he reduced the burdens of regulation. Does anyone know what the GDP growth was in 1984 (4th year of Reagan's presidency)? 7.2%!"

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
Iowa Radio Host Steve Deace Endorses Cruz
HOUSTON, Texas – Today, Iowa-based syndicated radio host and outspoken conservative activist Steve Deace endorsed U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, for President. Deace, who broadcasts from Des Moines, Iowa, and appears on more than 50 stations nationwide, said Cruz is the conservative leader who can win a national campaign.
“He’s what we’ve been waiting for: an end to the false choice between our principles and electability,” said Deace. “He has proven courage of conviction, a commitment to our principles, but he’s also raised the resources and put the sort of national campaign together on the ground that it takes to actually defeat the GOP establishment for the nomination. He is ready to run a national campaign. And we believe this makes him our best chance to offer the American people a real choice and not an echo for a change.”
Steve Deace has been a fixture in Iowa broadcasting for more than a decade and is an influential opinion maker across the Hawkeye State. He was instrumental in the effort to recall three judges in Iowa who struck down a democratically enacted state law affirming traditional marriage. Earlier this year, he moderated the first candidate joint forum of the presidential cycle and has been a tireless advocate for liberty, fiscal responsibility, and traditional American values. He is considered by many one of the rising stars in conservative media.
“Steve Deace is unwavering in his commitment to conservative principles,” said Senator Cruz. “He is a truth-teller, a courageous conservative, and a powerful voice for liberty. I am thrilled to have his support and look forward to him helping us reach millions of Americans.”
