If I take out your appendix or repair a hernia, there may be a cure every time with an appendectomy. Hernias can recur but both always leave a scar at the incision. Only surgeons cure.

In the behavioral sciences, counselors and others help you heal you.

There are several therapy modalities and different rates of success.

I will add 1 issue. I hear many of us claim there are almost no cases of cure of sex addiction. From one oblique viewpoint, homosexuality can be presented as sexual addiction. In some cases, substituting one addiction for another can be a step for progress. I had an employee that substituted sunflower seeds for cigarrettes. It dealt with the oral satisfaction of having something in his mouth.

Another case of smoking, we tried 5 approaches and the last and successful one was prayer by 2 people. He didn't even know about the prayer and annonced the time and place when he smoked the last time and didn't light up again.

Another modality is systematic desensitization. It often works.

It is almost 100% guaranteed that folks that support homosexuality and/or gay marriage say all reparation therapies do not work and often cause more damage. They lie about healing.

Re: Gay Marriage: For or Against?

The gay rights lobby, gay marriage movement and gay agenda want to lie and want their supporters to lie to further the agenda. Hate crime laws come from the Matthew Shepherd case which was a set of several false stories.

Matthew Shepherd was killed by aquantances which were also meth addicts. One of the killers was bi-sexual. The story is not only sad, it was filled with lies and the gays are steaming hot that the lies are exposed.

Quote:
You know there must be something happening when the New York Times praises ABC News for running “an intellectually brave episode” of the “20/20″ show that has angered the homosexual lobby. That means the Times found it convincing, and so did we. In the November 27 show, “20/20″ uncovered the truth about the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard, widely depicted as a hate crime because he was a homosexual. Almost everything we were told about this murder at the time by ABC, the Times and every other major news organization was false.

We were told that this University of Wyoming student was murdered simply because he was a homosexual. The truth is that he was the victim of a robbery gone bad by two drug addicts. What’s more, Shepard was also a heavy drug user who was HIV-positive. Not only were the perpetrators of this brutal crime not “homophobes,” but one of them knew Shepherd and was allegedly bisexual. The real story of the Matthew Shepard case, as the prosecutor says on “20/20,” concerns the dangers of methamphetamine. The two killers and Shepard were big meth users.

And I am called a nutcase for exposing lies.

Quote:
Why were the stories about this crime so wrong? The gay rights movement wanted to depict Shepard as an innocent victim of a homophobic society. This played into their demands for legislation to curb so-called “hate crimes.”
Gay marriage won't satisfy the homosexual sex addicts need for new sex partners.

Quote:
ABC and correspondent Elizabeth Vargas are now under heavy fire from the homosexual lobby for dispelling the Shepard myth

Do you expect judges to rule against granting liberty to a free people because it upsets our religious convictions? So yes, more and more judges seek to protect the principles of liberty and a free society as protected by the Constitution. The radicals on the left here want to go further and classify preaching as hate speech. They must be neutalized.
But there is an other group of activists. These desire to counter the radicals on the left by pushing their conservative agenda upon gay Americans using mob rule. These must be neutralized.

Would you feel that way if the masses voted that you didn't have the right to marry whoever you choose? Or would you then believe that you have God given liberties, liberties protected by the Constitution?

Just using Coadie to illustrate my point.
Your calls for violence applied by gubment is great in Russia.

I don't think those that have "dabbled" can be labeled gay. There appears to be a line that once crossed makes it near impossible to cross back over... or there might be a biological component.

Please note, if it is discovered that there is a biological component, it doesn't justify the behavior. It just shows the effect of the original sin on our flesh. We're constantly at war with our flesh and it's biological, hormonal, and chemical processes. To me, it's just science proving that gays battle the flesh.

I agree. For that reason, I believe that if allowed to marry, they will discover it doesn't bring happiness. They will find themselves betrayed and lied to by their "partner" far more than in marriages belonging to straight couples. I think it will prove a point to them.

Coadie, for someone who claims to be so into psychology, you're rather unstable. I never advocating using violence. You're making yourself look bad here man. In context, I'm talking about moderates who are moral and value liberty politically neutralizing the extremists on both sides.

I don't know the opinion of others... but you're coming off to me as being a little irrational about all of this.

You are making assumptions. They are false. Homosexuality is a mental illness. It is also sexual addiction. Untrained people like your self suggest people get addicted and then after finding it is not satisfying, they will quit. It doesn't work with homosexuals, meth users or even porn users.

We also don't encourage adultery under the false hope that people will find it doesn't satisfy and they will repent. Go ahead and commit adultery to prove a point.

Aquila, you really don't know what you are talking about.

Forcing gay marriages laws against the will of the people isn't going to work long term.
