But still no comments about the Democratic party leaders who were in Damascus last week for the Ayatollah's 29th Anniversary party.
Just to recap:
Barak Obama was represented by his top Foreign Policy advisor and the probable nod for Secretary of State,
Zbigniew Brzezinski.
Hillary Clinton was represented by one of her national campaign finance chairs,
Hassan Nemazee (this link goes to anvari.org, a popular Iranian/Persian cultural and social site).
* I for one, am glad to see that the Clintons are no longer dependant upon the good will of the People's Republic of China for campaign finances but have branched out to accept money from the Syrians and Iranians now as well.
Hezbollah was represented in Damascus last week by one of their stalwart founders and disciple of the Ayatollah himself
Imadh Mugniyah.
You may remember Mr. Mugniyah from his celebrated exploits at two different US Embassies in Beruit (
here,
here). You may remember him from his role in the bombing and killing of
241 US Marine Peacekeepers in 1981. You may remember him from his role in the
beating and torture death of young American
Robert Stethem.
You may remember the way he tortured
William Buckley to death after Buckley was captured in Lebanon trying to get information on the whereabouts of other Americans being held hostage. Buckley, by the way, was held captive
in Iran itself when he was tortured and killed.
And according to the (London)
TimesOnline, the Israeli security service known as Mossad was represented by an automobile upolstery detailing expert who is said to have stepped out of the hotel and walked down the street to make a single, very brief cell phone call.
When asked about Brzezinki's presence in Damascus last week,
the Obama campaign claimed that they didn't even know he was there. Sure.
Now, tell me Christopher Hall: what was your man Obama's chief Foreign Policy advisor and certain cabinet level appointee in any future Obama administration doing in Damascus last week
with Hillary's National Campaign Finance Chair during the celebrations of the Ayatollah's Anniversary?
Was money given or promised to either Democratic campaign?
And why, after the clever little Mossad stunt interrupted the good times and party, have the Dems suddenly tried to hush the whole thing up?
