Re: Effective evangelists?
One rule is the 5 minute rule...let them know that you are on a time schedule, and to wait 5 minutes before asking a question. They will likely get their answer before the 5 minutes is up because you are initiating the subject....
Advanced questions can wait until after the lesson.

A little pointer....
What happens when the house gets noisy?
Just teach quieter,,,when they cannot hear you speak, they will shut up the noise!

Now if you can please show me a verse that disqualifies the prophecier from being considered a prophet.(not just your opinion)...Thanks...Meow

You did not show me a scripture that says everyone who prophesies is a prophet. You tried to twist the scripture to say that when it doesn't. This scripture is about prophets speaking during an assembly. I suppose it's easy to claim it says something else when you ignore verse 29.
29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge .
The verse is not about someone who just prophesies. Prophets do more than prophesy.

Maybe you need more than 10 minutes of preparation...
2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

So, you strive to be like those who would mock you?

I've had no problems as a mother or a Sunday School teaching when I've used other Bibles... Of course, that's because I am not to worship the KJV translation. Many cannot get past the old language. It helps when they hear the same verse in NKJV or another version.

Seems you think a bit too highly of yourself. I doubt your method is as effective as you claim, unless you actually give an explanation aside from just the words of the KJV, there are those who walk out scratching their heads wondering what you said.

Okay, let's do that:
Acts 2:38
(KJV) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
(KJV-1611) Then Peter said vnto them, Repent, and be baptized euery one of you in the Name of Iesus Christ, for the remission of sinnes, and ye shal receiue the gift of the holy Ghost.
(Geneva) Then Peter said vnto them, Amend your liues, and bee baptized euery one of you in the Name of Iesus Christ for the remission of sinnes: and ye shall receiue the gift of the holy Ghost.
(Bishops) Then Peter sayde vnto them: Repent, and be baptized euery one of you in the name of Iesus Christe, for the remission of sinnes, and ye shall receaue the gyft of the holy ghost.
(AMP) And Peter answered them, Repent (change your views and purpose to accept the will of God in your inner selves instead of rejecting it) and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of and release from your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
(ASV) And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
(CEV) Peter said, "Turn back to God! Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven. Then you will be given the Holy Spirit.
(ESV) And Peter said to them, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
(GNB) Peter said to them, "Each one of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven; and you will receive God's gift, the Holy Spirit.
(GW) Peter answered them, "All of you must turn to God and change the way you think and act, and each of you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins will be forgiven. Then you will receive the Holy Spirit as a gift.
(LITV) And Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, each of you on the name of Jesus Christ to remission of sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
(Murdock) Simon said to them: Repent, and be baptized every one of you, in the name of the Lord Jesus, for the remission of sins; so that ye may receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
(NAS77) And Peter said to them, "Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
(NASB) Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
(NLT) Peter replied, "Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
(Webster) Then Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
(YLT) and Peter said unto them, `Reform, and be baptized each of you on the name of Jesus Christ, to remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit,
So, you can't preach Acts 2:38 from any other translation than the KJV? Really?

Votivesoul gave it a good college try by showing Sean, 1 Corinthians 12:29. Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? Yet, Sean refused to take the council, but feigned an apology, and went his merry way.
