TB, Good to see you! And I have seen the kind you are talking about here...usually the "Old Pillars of the Church" who have been in the way for more years than we are old! LOL

Blessings, Rhoni
I am not particularly addressing this to Rhoni or anyone, but for the

sake of more understanding.

In I Cor. 12: Paul speaking to the church at Corinth about the Body of

Christ being one, with many members. In verse 18 we are told, "But now

hath God set the members every one of them in the body as it hath

pleased HIM.

When God calls a man and woman to a city to build a work for God,

does He not have it planned before hand. If God is in control and that

couple are sensitive to the Spirit, I believe they will receive instructions

from God as to how to set it up. My dad and mom were called to a town

near the city where my dad held a good job. It was eight years before

dad started the work of God as he felt he had to provide for his family

first. That he did and as God provided for his family a home of their own,

the family was growing and we children were also growing in age and in

stature. My brother and I who received the Holy Ghost not too long

before Dad started the work, still remain in place as "Old Pillars" of this

work began by our earthly father, being instructed by his Heavenly Father.

We were placed no doubt at an early age as ".... God hath set the

members every one of them in the body , as it hath pleased HIM".

It is not always easy to "stay put where God planted us in the be-

ginning because of others that feel you don't have a right to be there.

Or that you have outlived your purpose. Where God planted me is where

I plan to stay until HE "transplants" me otherwise. Transplanting is

needful sometimes as lives depend on it but it is not the most desirable

way to live. We are in a day of transplants and I thank God that two of

my younger siblings are alive today because of God's mercy in making

it possible for them to live longer. Thank God for His mercy and grace.

We might like to rethink our "Old Pillars" as they just might be what is

holding up the "building". If you are going to remove or replace the

old supports. old pillars, you best make sure there is something se-

curing the building until they are replaced because it might just come

down on some heads that didn't discern or understand the "body of

Christ". What God puts in place we had better let remain until He re-

moves or replaces it, at His Will!!! We best let (allow, permit) GOD to

do the replacing. He usually takes care of that with time and age!

There are certainly abuses, whether it be the pastor or saints. And

God knows where the problem lies. He KNOWS ALL things, including

man's thoughts and motives. He SEES the heart (inside) of man.

And sometimes it can be MISUNDERSTANDING as to what the Will

of God is. Rehoboam caused Israel to be divided because he listened

to inexperience and the lack of God given wisdom. He wouldn't listen

to the ones who had been faithful to his father, Solomon. The Bible

is full of examples for us to follow. We could well listen to the prayer

of the Son of God who did only what His Father instructed Him to do

and say. He listened, grew in wisdom and in stature, and in time He

was "old" enough and able to inherit the Kingdom of God! He became

obedient unto death, even the death of the Cross!!!

I believe it would be best to wait until the Father gives us our in-

heritance!!! FATHER REALLY DOES KNOW BEST!!!

This is not to offend or put anyone down. It is just some thoughts

of a senior sister, who was once young, but am now older. I love

everyone on this forum and those NOT on this forum. IF we have

GOD we should have enough love to go around to the whole family!!

Blessings,

Falla39

Be blessed and tell us how you really feel.
I don't agree with your claim that if everyone starts saying you have a problem that you are the one who is wrong. TRUTH is not based on majority consensus. Essentially "everyone" in this wicked world that rejects Christ believes Christians are wrong but, quite obviously, that doesn't make it so. Jesus said the world would hate Him. "The world" is essentially the same as your "everyone." If we follow your premise, Jesus is the One with the problem and not the world.

God hates sin. Yet "everyone" claims to have "free will" and, thus, the RIGHT to do whatever one pleases. If we follow your premise, God is the one with the problem (He hates sin).

If I say, "God does not call women to the five-fold ministry" and just about everyone here stupidly interprets that statement to mean that I hate women, that doesn't make "everyone" right. If the Apostle Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, says "I do not allow a woman to teach" and "everyone" says "Paul is a male chauvanist pig" does that mean "everyone" is right?

There was a time when "everyone" insisted the world was flat. Were those who claimed the world was round (well, spherical) wrong just because "everyone" disagreed with them?
