The history you men have of Pentecost will be lost one day if none of you make the effort to pass it on. I would make a History section here on AFF for you 3 to post it all out if you would do it.

Along with you 3, Sam, and a few others could make for some great stories of the history of "Pennycost".

Case in point is the man that confronted Keith4Him. That guy many not speak for all in the UPC or ALJC, but he speaks the same language as most. Infact, your statements show that you my friend have a perverison of the truth. Your statements make it seem as if you are an elitist. If someone believes contray to you then they have the truth screwed up as if there is no chance you are wrong. Bro. I do not know you, but by some of what I have seen you say makes me think about ever fellowhipping ya. Sorry.

There is a guy that pastors in this state and he is a very, very conservative and he against everything. I guess he is against having people in his church too cause their is only a hand full of people there and anyone that comes in needs to meet requirements asap or they are asked to leave. Elitist and legalist.

I was not painting with a broad brush to include everyone. You have to know I was in the ALJC for 10 yrs and UPC for the past 6 yrs. So I have seen both sides of the fence. There are alot of men that are elitist and legalist. You may not be one of them, but it seems as if the bad apples seem to stink the worst.
Dude,

Your postings preceed you! You can try to whitewash your attitude and spirit but it doesn't cover well.

You, my dudistic friend, see a legalist behind every tree and bush. They aren't there but they are real in your mind. That is the perversion of reality.

Even with my 18 years of being backslidden your paltry time in either group pales when compared to my experience.

So judge with your legalistic attitude of "everyone who believes anything is a bogeyman". I will choose to allow everyman to stand on his own merit and will not broadbrush or generalize to marginalize as is your habit.

Now go lean what this meaneth.

Luckily for a lot of Pentecostal "scholars" these "distance learning" degrees are becoming in vogue and are gaining credibility due to the endeavors of onl line Institutions like the "University of Phoenix" and the online offerings of many Colleges and Universities.

The truth though is that a lot of the degrees bandied about by Pentecostal preachers are either honorary or from diploma mills.

Nice rebuttle you legalist crazy person. LOL Just kidding.

You know I do not think everyone is legalistic. I am going to a conservative UPC church they preach against alot, but not all are legalistic. Some do things out of personal convictions and some will tell you that you are going to hell if you do anything. I have no problems with personal convictions but the truth is that not everyone is in the same shoes you are. Not everyone will have the same convictions. Some have more conviction than I, but there are some that do not. I may be on the mod/lib side, but I am not a do whatever you want to kinda guy. I am for the local church to make its way into the world and into world outreach. In order to do so there has to be a balance, but for some churches they are too hard and some are too soft on issues.

I am sorry that you were backslidden 18 yrs that is horrible and I am glad you mad it back. But the truth is that I have seen what I have seen and others agree and disagree. You may not see it the same way as I. That is the beauty of an open forum we can all have our opinions right and wrong. I do not know you personally so I can not judge your motives I can only judge actions same with me you can only judge my actions. I am glad that there are people like you in this movement. They help balance everything out. There are the left and right wings, but like NLYP signature says it takes both wings to fly.

False doctrine is false doctrine, right brethren?

So, preaching extra-biblical standards would be just as wrong as "Divine Flesh", "Serpent Seed", or any other pet peeves some hold near and dear.

Scripture speaks of adding to, without defining what is added.

What, no respondents?

Is my logic irrefutable or is my post irrelevant?

The only prohibitions are fear and ignorance, neither of which is an indictment, just an assumption on my part.

For MOST standards, MOST ministers will show you the verse that the standard comes from. So while you may interpret the verse differently, you cannot call it "extra-biblical standards".

Not saying I agree with every standard out there. But it is a matter of differing interpretation.
