TV is a tool. it isnt the only tool. It doesnt work everywhere. It isnt a replacement for some other tool. it is just a tool.

why arent we using everything at our disposal to do the job?
Amen.

that is a dangerously sobering thought.

We are a part, perhaps a very small part, but we are a part of the body.

It is also incredibly presumptuous to think that putting apostolic content on 1 or 2 channels out of 400 is going to reach the WHOLE WORLD.

You are sooooo right my friend. but the real issues never get discussed.

you have almost 10,000 members in the UPCI and less than 3,000 sent in the information for the poll.

if one thousand from each side just forgot, you still have half the fellowship that doesnt think this issue is the important issue.

GC will be attended by less than 50% of the voting members. I suspect the majority could not care less about this issue, they just want an organizatoin that will support them, fellowship them and help them win their cities.

And I would agree.

I think the idea is taking responsibility for the souls one is unable to reach because of a reluctance to use progressive technology to do so. I can see where you might derive that meaning, but I can assure you that Matt Maddix is not so much of a "company man" that he believes the UPCI is the only group reaching for souls.

When I think of reaching souls in Tulsa, OK, I don't think of the population, and then divide it by the number of churches, and say something like..well...our church is now only responsible for...25,000 souls. I think we are ALL responsible to reach ALL lost souls that are in our ability to reach.

Finding that meaning in his letter is a stretch is all I'm saying.

Ferd, this may shock you, my TV promoting friend.

Not all 10000 go vote at GC either. Even when 8 years ago in Louisville we were electing a GS to replace NAU, they did not all vote. They did bring in bus loads to try to sway that vote though!

We are starting a sway from the Orignal Post already.
