Of course, His voice will never, ever contradict His Word.

Wisdom speaks.

If the "voice", preacher or prophet does not agree with the Word.... run!

1 John 4:1-4
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
KJV

Ps 119:89
For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

Sis. Tamor,

Could it be that I love being a grandmother for 19 so much,

that He is giving me some more. I love children and grandchildren.

If He wants me to be a cyber-grandma, I will gladly love them too!!!

If we love with the love of God shed abroad in our hearts by the

Holy Ghost, there should be plenty of love to go round. If we need

more He will suppy it.

I want more of Jesus, more and more and more.
I want more of Jesus than I've ever had before.
I want more of His Great Love, so rich, so full, so free,
I want more of Jesus, so I'll give Him more of me.

Blessings,

"Mother & Grandmother" Falla39

Some of you are going to say I am crazy, but that's ok because I am used to it (being crazy, that is). I was down praying one day, several years ago, talking to God about this very thing. "Lord, how can I know it's you", I asked Him. Suddenly, it hit me. "Lord, speak to me using the voice of someone I trust," I prayed. The next thing I knew I heard the voice of my pastor speaking to me! It totally freaked me out!! I have never asked God to do something like that since.

I have since learned the importance of checking any "voice" giving me direction against what thus saith the Word of the Lord. The devil is nothing less than the father of lies, so I know if he's giving any directions they will include a lie.

Over the last five years or so I have experienced the Lord speaking to me through dreams more frequently. I can't explain how I know a dream is from Him, but I just do. The last one I had I started a thread on it.

The number one way God speaks to me, though, is through His Word.

Hearing the Voice of God
Falla39 always has good stuff to say.
Well, great minds run in the same channel.

Thank you, Bro. Sam,

I just pray that the words of mouth and the meditations (things

I think about) are exceptable in His sight!! If He is pleased then we

have nothing to be concerned about, do we!!!

Blessings,

Falla39

An interesting thought...Eli was still able to discern that it was God speaking to Samuel.

I don't know how true this is, but it seems that God doesn't always repeat the same happening or nor does he always do things our way.

By that I mean, you might have been inspired to pray that prayer and just Then, God knowing, the pastor came in.

Next time when you want to hear from the Lord you might pray the same prayer and nothing.

Also sometimes when you are just really demanding in prayer and nothing happens....but when you forget about trying to get God to do things a certain way He ends up doing it His way instead.

Brother, I didn't mean the pastor came into the room. I meant God spoke to me using my pastor's voice. lol

ah...that's weird. I don't know why that happens.

Check this out. Years ago a couple was in our church. The brother and sister lived next door. He was half Filipino and she was a filipina from PI. Her cousin also lived next door with her grandmother....hard core catholics. She would not allow her granddaugher to attend church. So when the grandmother was gone she would sneak out to church. It was a long battle.

One day the brother and the sister were in the living room discussing how the cousin (or maybe it was a sister) was coming to the Lord and just at that moment they heard a voice near the TV (make of that what you want) that they said sounded like our Pastor say "She's not His yet"...

They thought it was a devil...maybe it was God or an angel warning them...

No doubt God HAD in times past spoken to Eli as high priest but surely Eli

would have known it had to be God IF no one else was there!

Just a thought also.

Blessings,

Falla39
