Just received an update that the political pressure put on Obama has him deciding to accept Gov. Perry's offer to have a sit down, but not to view the border.

They ought to drag his carcass over here and in the middle of the kids with TB and Scabies. See how that feels to Texans.

Presidents routinely meet state officials on tarmacs for publicity photos. They spend almost no time out on the tarmac and have no chance for any kind of meaningful discussion.

Perry would've wasted his time going there. This was obama hoping he could look good by getting some photos of him and Perry so he could say he met with Perry.

Were this a Republican going to a border state during a crisis, just to attend 3 fundraisers and not visit the crisis area....it'd be the topic nonstop on every local news and cable news channel and rag all over the US.

Besides, logically, do you know how hot it is outside right now in Texas? 96 degrees and it is not even noon yet. Who is going to be standing around the tarmac, in a suit, having a discussion. Goodness. Does anyone use logic anymore?
