I will. Please next time you decide to resort to mockery and pejorative comments don't be offended when someone reciprocates.

*SIGH*

Hummmm..... it would seem that *SIGH* has taken the place of "Good Grief!"

"SIGH"

But, I still like "Good Grief!" the best!

Miss you Cindy!

GC, I really don't need to try and defend PO because she is well capable of sticking up for herself.

But having said all of that, I will defend her anyway...

I have 'known' Pressing On for what seems like forever, and while she and I disagree on a great many things, I have never felt she was racist in any way.

And trust me...with biracial family members, and as I was a member of a 99% Black congregation for 24 years, I am very sensitive in this area...perhaps at times, overly so.

PO stands for what she believes in, be it secular issues or spiritual, and she is not always right, but which one if us is? By the same token, she is not always wrong, and neither are you.

So why don't we all pull in the reins a bit and not let opinions divide us as sisters in the Lord.

And if having said all of this, if I have overstepped my bounds with either one of you, I do apologize.

But I just didn't want you, GC, walking away from this feeling as you do...

*SIGH*
Written words are not as easily understood...sorry.

The "this is silly" was meant as "I don't think you are understanding me...this is silly." Not to mean you were silly...sorry.

The sigh was not meant to be condescending but only a weariness that Black universities and Black publications and so forth had a reasoning behind them. As this has been discussed here before, I sighed...sorry.

I felt that thereafter you were mocking me...I certainly was not mocking you. My sin of assumption...I am sorry.

You owe me no apology . I see her one way , you see her another. Having Bi-racial mixes in ones family does NOT make a person NOT a racist! ! Have a blessed day!

Re: Racism

We can all learn to disagree without being so disagreeable! Being on this religious forum requires thick skin at times. What is interesting is that I have met some forum members who could be very abrasive in their writing style, but were gentle and harmless when I actually met them.

I don't think Godschild was abrasive at all at first, but was trying to explain things from her perspective in her own words. Some are quick to attack before they try to understand another's perspective. As mentioned, sometimes it's hard to understand someone because their wording can come across differently than what they really are trying to say. Since we can't see facial expressions and hear the tone of voice, writing style is all we can go on in this forum.

Allow other people a difference of opinion because of life experiences.

Seek to understand first. Then, try your best to be hearty in your disagreement. God bless!

Thank you friend~ I do not speak plain English sometimes bc it is not my native language so I have a hard time explaining things . so then they may come off wrong but never intended to. I only become "abrasive" when others make me feel like I have no right to my own opinion and then try and make fun .... that is hurtful and uncalled for. Thank you for seeing that I had no intentions to offend with my posts.

Well, your bright and morning stars highlighting your billboard, I mean, signature line shows that you are very aware of race. It's important to you as a dividing mark. I don't think about it, so it seems strange that you would put that in a large font and, of course, edit in stars for your billboard, oops, again, signature line.

How I feel about that is -

I'm going to add a signature line that says - I belong to the ARYAN RACE NO HEINZ 57 HERE! How's that for drama?

The emotional side of racial issues is a huge turn off. I have no patience for it. Personally, I feel the issues in this country are more about class than race.
