A victim how? In what way? I've been victimized a few times to be sure. Sometimes we even set ourselves up for it knowing full well we'll probably get "hurt" in the process but we give the person the chance to hurt us anyhow. And just how dumb is that?!!!

A survivor gets over their anger and bitterness, seeks God to bind up their wounds and hurts, and looks for any positives that have helped them become a better person through their bad experience(s)....

Face it! Everyone here on AFF has been hurt by someone during their lifetime!

So are you a victim or a survivor????
Good thoughts. But forget it they love that victim mindset it frees them from any responsibility in their minds. My failures is not my fault but those who hurt me 20 years ago.

You'll probably get dubbed as unloving for this statement, but I agree.

Right. God showed this to me (at least in part) in my kitchen about 6-7 years ago as I was waiting on and seeking Him for some understanding and wisdom.

I agree Pastor Epley. People need to change their thinking so they are not forever the victim...they need to look at themselves and think about how they contribute to the problem and fix themselves.

I am a survivor. Absolutely. But I don't refuse to listen to those who need to talk and tell them "Get over it already."

I am a survivor! And by the Word of God, I am more than an overcomer! So many promises to them that overcome...

On a side note; I thank God that there are so many promises to them that overcome, not to those that always have it all together.
