Re: Lee Stoneking on platform at GC tonight
I am watching a few threads on Facebook go all moonbat over this saying all these strongholds and corporate doubt are broken tonight.
I hope many were touched tonight... but wheres the bible support for this?
The early church got their butt kicked by Rome, the Jews, and various others on a regular basis and they were "Apostolic". They won by reaching the slaves, freemen laborers and lowly in society... that was the base of early Christianity before its incorporation into state religion... those guys would have not had much in common with a crowd of middle class folks breaking amorphous "Corporate Doubts" that are not named... its almost like a different religion that says to praise God when you are persecuted because you know your doing something in the world.. and the world hates what your doing. Its like a different religion in its mindset than what I see in the New Testament.
Why all the fortune cookie prophetic stuff without saying what these "corporate strongholds" are?

From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. And speaks, and speaks!
That exempts no one! Amazing how telling that is!
Tremendous move of God in the Rally this afternoon. The results should be telling.

Re: Lee Stoneking on platform at GC tonight
Where is the New Testament scripture supporting this notion that everybody yelling together somehow inhibits demons? Good grief! Isn't all of the wonderful things in the bible enough? Why do people want to come up with all of these crazy extra biblical things?
The sad thing is how many people take all of this as "gospel". It is very disappointing to see people espousing so much wild nonsense held up in the UPCas leaders.
Please note this is not DA speaking. I am not a UPC basher but LS and his female protogee being held in such high esteem is very disappointing.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

No one is saying that what God does for individuals in the crowd is in anyway a negative thing.
What we are saying is that this type of revivalism with added doctrinal ideas spreads like a virus into local churches starting next Sunday during the testimonies about how General Conference went.

I sure hope this gets archived eventually. But for now, glad to report my doubt is alive and well.

I know that some personal words, opinions and thoughts will come forth from various men and women that we won't agree with. That's a given and not just church related.
If LS had related the story of lifting your voice like the beggar as per Luke 18:35-42, I would have been fine with that. But, when you bring in some scientific study as though that had one thing to do with or was predicated on the moving of God's Spirit, that is quite another. That is leaning toward witchcraft, IMO. I was totally turned off by that!
