But he really does it well, don't you think?

What does that say about him?

Most every judge has been in practice before he was elected to that position...

Similarity is not causation.

Im sure you can take apart any number of other symbols in various parts and come up with something....that alone does not prove it is pagan
I understand where you are coming from.
The fish has a long and varied use as a pagan symbol. This may help to explain it better: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fish_symbol

I have studied this in great depth. This material is out there for anyone to read.
Most christian symbolism today has pagan roots and ties to trinity or direct ties to occultism. If people would but look they might be a bit horrified at what they find, trinis and oneness alike.

Carp, some thought your last post to me in this thread was poignant and compelling.

Carp, I apologize to you for your offense at my observation of this as an anti-church thread. Please forgive me.

SoCali, we have many sections of this board, that no one takes the time to visit, and no other board I visit has one dump section to wade through. Many great thoughts, started posts and observations are lost daily in the morass.

morass n. An area of low-lying, soggy ground. Something that hinders, engulfs, or overwhelms: a morass of details.

Carp, once I had a job where I worked 12-14hrs a day. I thus did begin to miss some church. When bumping into church folk in the church building before or after service, I was greeted with pitiful looks. "Brudder, we are praying for you!" Sad part was I was not backslidden, only trying to avoid bankruptcy!

True enough. I remember my first experience with goofiness. It was the 3rd hole that day in Denver, when you said...
