Re: What I have learned from AFF

And, truth be told, young Elder Cox is taking advantage of the freedom AFF offers. He would never get by with his rude behavior over at "the other forum."

The Saints had thrown away their perfect season and the Redskins gave it back to them. It was great. Hating the Redskins is one of my few joys since my Niners have been struggling for so long.

You're welcome. I would have been glad to clear up your confusion on the thread as well. Instead, it was silence.

Rude behaviour? Where was I rude? Is it because i'm the only one not agreeing with the majority?

Mr. Cox, you need to forget what you've been told and just get to know the PEOPLE who post on this forum. Many are conservative--probably more conservative than you--and you would be surprised to know which ones they are. Almost ALL are God-loving Christians, who love the Word and serve Him to the best of their knowledge and ability. THAT should be respected, even when we don't agree on the details.

My father was a conservative Apostolic, and he discussed, debated and argued with his minister friends more times than I could ever count--and they were still friends at the end of the day. Discussion doesn't always reveal a person's viewpoint, either--I've played the devil's advocate a few times just to make a point or to push the parameters a bit.

Usually people fear discussion when they're afraid they might be wrong.

You posted a list of Scriptures, that doesn't exactly work here. I can't walk into the courtroom and toss a volume of the DC Code on the table and say, "There it is your honor, we move for a summary judgment based on the law."

Give me a break, Elder.

Questioning someone's salvation, and placing a curse on them AS YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE, is rude and unChristian.

Nate, I promise you the overwhelming majority of AFF posters are extremely conservative. The difference between them and you is they love open and honest discussion about the issues.

You seem bitter about the "other forum" where you banned from there or something?

Reguritating scriptures works for Bible Quizzers, but not for theological discourse. You must be prepared to interact with the scriptures, making sure the intended meaning of the verses you use matches what you suggest they mean, analyzing context, understand the original intent of the verse, etc... then making application to the church today on the topic.

Did know one interact at all with your list of scriptures?
