How silly of him and how obvious that the Democratic Party is worried.
You need to go back and watch the whole thing again. He is not praising her.He is actually making fun of her. He is saying if she stays out front it will cause someone with some intelligent to come forward in the Republican party. They need someone with some common sense.

Re: My Review on Sarah Palin's Book - Going Rogue

You know I like the ragin' cajun, James Carville. I don't think I've ever agreed with him, but I like his dry style. Loved watching him and Tucker go at each other on CNN's Crossfire.

Question for PO - do you get all your info from RealClearPolitics.com, or do you branch out to other, less biased websites - or other websites that are biased from the other isle?

It seems that many of the interviews that I read about are posted with a clip on RealClearPolitics. You can't say they are totally biased as they post clips from CNN, MSNBC, etc.

The clip I referenced here is a CNN interview, soooooo, David.......

"They are trying to apply conventional wisdom templates to an unconventional person. She's an unconventional candidate, if she is a candidate. She's an unconventional person. We've seen nothing like this. So, I thought her strategy, at the time, even if it wasn't applied to running in the future was very smart. And she is a phenonmena. She sold...this doesn't happen...I'm in publishing....300,000 copies on the first day. She was the best, highest rated show that Oprah had since the whole Osmond family was there. She's this combination of charisma and principles. I didn't like what was said about, particularly, John Schmidt and Nicole Wallace , but it was infinitesimal compared to the rest of the book that had a lot of substance, a lot of principles and a lot of personality. It's a good book! Those things... kinds of fights happen inside of campaigns." - Mary Matalin

Light,
This is what James said:

"What she is accomplishing out there is real. Maybe she will have some depth out there and bring some intellectual help to the Republican Party."

That is some pretty strong support, IMO. And no, I didn't see that as making fun of her. He is agreeing with Mary. Yes, he is probably making fun of the Republican Party, with his last statement, but that is his MO as a Democrat and it is expected.

You can't overlook what he said in the quote above. What he is trying to do is keep the "unqualified" word out there. If you use it enough - people will believe it. That's sales and that's the value of repetition in it.

Anyway, you haven't brought any substance to this discussion. Nothing intellectual to weigh out your side of the issue. Nothing solid to grasp and consider. Nothing to ponder and chew on. Try doing that - it might help.

PO, I honestly think that Dem strategists would give their eyetooth to have SP make a major push for 2012.

Probably so, Stew. And Tina Fey will always have much more credibility - I'm sure! Go figure!

I also have a major typo in my post quoting Mary Matalin - it would be "substance". Arghhhh! LOL!

Palin is saying in her book that she doesn't need a title to affect change, that she changed some things in Washington simply by posting on her Facebook page after watching some debates, Mary Matalin says that her strategy was smart - even if - it wasn't applied to a running in the future.

So, my thinking is that I hope that she doesn't run in 2012, BUT, if it works out that her strategy builds up support, her husband stands by her, then I would vote for her.

Right now, I think she needs to build or re-build her image that she - on her part, and the media - on their part, did some major damage. If she is able - we will know it. Time is on her side.

She did say that she would rather write than do a talk-show. She may just do that and be a voice for those that are "unconventional" and want to take back our country to a more Conservative place, i.e. Hoffman, etc.

I think it can happen. We may have come to this place that Obama has brought us to show America what Liberalism is finally, really all about. We are seeing the worst of it, IMO.

I'm afraid there are too many who won't see and others who just don't care. If the liberals give citizenship to all the illegal's in our country they will vote liberal. You just don't bite the hand that feeds you. These are not real Americans. We need more men and women like Sarah who are not afraid to stand up and be heard.

I agree, at least in 2012, I don't think she will be at the top of any ticket. Depending on who runs in 2012, and their ability for a second term, I think 2016 is her best option at this time.

Of course, since the world is scheduled to end in 2012, it may be a moot point.....LOL! (This should not be taken as a belief that Christ's return is not imminent, I believe it is. Just poking a little fun at the 2012 hoopla!)
