Lol~ We gave are first set away to a couple from Africa , they needed money and the church preach against rings, so we gave. After sixteen years myself going ring less my hubby surprised me with a lovely wedding ring, he said this one stay on~
ILG~ The story you shared about the rose, I have one very much like that but it was a rock..... Someday I'll share it~

I always felt it was shameful not to wear a wedding ring, especially when one is with child or has kids. The world looks on these things, a ring say you are taken. When we were younger my husband and I rented a home from an elder man, he being the landlord asked us, are you two married? Yes sir was my husband reply, ok I didn't see any rings and I'm not into renting to people who are shaking up.

This is why i recently got one - because of the way others percieve it - not because I wanted one. Not sure I would say it's "shameful" not to wear one, since I understand the intent of those who do not.

I really began to be glad to have one on because I was in the public workforce for the first time about the time I started wearing one.

We lived in Calif when I was pregnant with three of our kids, and Calif look down at dead beat parents, out wedlock moms. Your viewed as another cow feeding off the system. My grandmother who know gone would tell me, where your ring, people are going to talk and think you went got yourself knocked up...:sshhh I always though that sounded funny knocked-up...
