No, that's not it. I'm just noticing a pattern here...

And keeping a preacher out of a city really comes down to the district board and the way it operates. There have been many men who were kept out of cities (metropolitan areas) because a local man had a little influence with the board and was afraid of competition. The west coast is especially known for this in the UPC.

I can't help but believe that these types of actions have been much more deleterious to the work of God than what org, fellowship, etc. is formed.
Hopefully the decentralization of power will lead to the removal of many long standing barriers to evangelization.
Though no claim to being an expert, I am fairly knowledgable about the politics of the west.

Where do you see decentralized power??? In this new org format???
Looks as bureaucratic as the Spanish Colonial empire ... as it's being presented now.

Sad to say but some preachers have ego first and ambition in the drivers seat above burdens.

All other variables being equal, I'd take a church of 200 in "Hicksville" any day, over a large, loud and congested city full of the wrong kind of sports partisans.

Get a grip on that ... before you bust a vein.

What's doctrinal about the new fellowship? I have not once attempted to define apostolic doctrine...my uninformed friend. You can speak of radical cohorts all you wish. Those like you who attack the apostolic doctrine have nothing new to say, you just revomit the old bile and bitterness you cannot rid yourselves of. I PONTIFICATED about a ficticious legacy??? I was referring to the legacy that you are leaving, pal. Are you calling your heritage ficticious?? My poor man.
My blood pressure is optimal, my pulse not even close to being excited. Don't give yourself more credit than you deserve.

Oh, and DA, quit whining about a deleted post. You edit your posts quite regularly to add more unintelligible drivel.

You need to start a Dan fan club .... I'll authorize it ... it can be official. Contact PP, I'm sure he'd join. Just offer him a position on the General Council.

Whose burden is in question here? He who wants to start the church or the one that won't allow it to be?

No need to squirm so loudly.
Really, I MUST learn your avoidance technique. You use it SO conveniently.

Sorry, I know you are somewhat obsessed with this new group but there are other things going on.
At worst, with 2 orgs there would be opportunity for at least twice as many churches. Maybe this is the real "Decade to Double."
In reality everyone that is leaving is not going to the new org/fellowship and thus many are seeing opportunities that were not as clear under the old ways.
