If they wanted checks and balances, well they are leaving a whole organization of people with differing viewpoints. That is one of the great things about being part of a large organization, you have all sides of the issues represented, it is how you balance each other.
I thought that the reason that these men were leaving was that they couldn't "compromise" their beliefs. Why would they be looking for balance at this point?

Got news for ya Thad, you can't call this church ultra-liberal. Maybe liberal, but not ultra-liberal, and speaking as one who attended there for many years, it's more moderate than anything.

I agree with ya MP. It is a wonderful church. However, it agree's with everything those leaving are complaining about, so why would they want them to go to?

The Uganda trip was mentioned in this thread, but there is a reason Bishop Baker was there related to MISSIONS and a man who is leading a great revival there.
From my understanding, the mothership sent men to check it out and help do some teaching...not at ALL related to any new org...
