Well, I can only blame this misunderstanding on the influence of women here. If left up exclusively to guys- most church problems would never come up.

Of course mostly nothing else would ever come up or get done either... but it's hard to see there being any church problems when the guys are all out fishing or just sunning themselves and watching the clouds.

"Yup..." Like Adam I say, "Lord, it's the woman who YOU gave me... that's the problem. I was just sitting here and SHE..."

Friend, which generalities did I offer? I only ask so that I may address the issues in a more specific manner. I often condense posts because I am told AFF posters will not stay tuned for more than a few paragraphs.:sshhh

There is some truth to what you say but you haven't balanced your post like PP did.

Mizpeh is my friend. Thank God!

Hey Miz, I have a new blog address. It's www.pastorposter.com. The site is not finished just yet, but I hope you will stop by and maybe even be a guest blogger every now and then. The link is functional.

Adam was punished for his own sin not for passing the blame on his wife.

PP- I was careful and mindful of the programming my children were viewing because I didn't want worldly culture coming into my home. Their time in front of the TV was limited (even though they never realized it). TV was a non-issue in my household.

Now, let's talk about the good programming. I thought The Waltons and Little House on the Prarie had great story lines and wonderful family values.

Which leads me to believe that TV like life; to a great extent; depends upon what you are looking for.

Amen Sister! I totally agree, but of course you already knew that.

Trouble is, you must search through a bunch of rubbish to find anything good. I own the entire series of the programs you just mentioned (perfectly legal). I am not anti-tv.

My post was only meant to point out that tv definitely plays a part in shaping culture - even within the church.

Daniel, perhaps you missed my point? My point is that there is an absolutely diabolical perversion involved in these role reversals that leads to mass societal confusion.

I am not blaming a particular gender. I am stating that satan has an agenda. He wants to destroy the family and will play to our egotistical desire for independence, gratification, and power to do so.

We cannot properly submit ourselves to the Almighty without following His original plan for mankind which involves the man as the leader of the home, the woman as his submitted partner, and their children as students of their relationship with each other and God.
I guess one needs to ask oneself this very simple question-Is tv a reflection of society, or is society a reflection of tv? Based on your comments, the evil is in the tv programming. In my opinion, the tv programming just reflects what is going on in society. The evil is in man's heart.
