What do you mean "because of a 90 year old feud"?

Lots of Oneness Apostolic Pentecostals, both in and out of the UPC, do not believe water baptism is essential.

Some OPs live in such stark hatred of Trinitarians .... and vice versa ... that any type of Oneness or Trinitarian language in the liturgy .... drives them so insane .... they don't even know what they are saying ...

ie .... such as quoting the bible during a baptism is mud

I'm fine with the first one as long as you are not saying it while they are under the water. When the feet stop kicking it's time to check on the candidate.

Hey, if you would say all that stuff, and then put them under in the name of Jesus, I think it would be fine.

No matter how you slice it or dice it ... the baptism mode ... offered by Sherri is still a Jesus name baptism ... any grammarian will tell you that .... The baptizer could read the lineage of David ... and end as this mode indicates:

I now baptize you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ."

Naw I will just stick to the way the Apostles did it...

Acts 2:38

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
KJV

Acts 8:16
(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
KJV

Acts 10:48-11:1

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
KJV

Acts 19:5
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
KJV

Well, in case you didn't notice, there were three different wordings in those four scriptures. What do you do with that????

The mode offered by Sherri, after quoting Matthew 28, God's breath inspired Word, emphatically states that this verse is fulfilled in Acts 2 ... a mainstay of Oneness doctrine

yet because the preliminary remarks before this Jesus name baptism contains the 3 dreaded titles of God in sequence ... it is discounted as blasphemous.

Its almost hilarious to hear ministers of the Word, and the protectors of Truth, react in such a manner about the same message they preach ...

can't y'all realize that this is a Jesus name baptism? or
does your vitriole towards your trinitarian brethren or anything remotely trinitarian sounding destroy the synapes leading to your brain and cloud your better judgment?

Does this mode ... buckle your brick wall theology?
Does this phraseology as stated and preached by you in the same manner ... make you a compromiser?

Does the mention of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, in that order, give you the heeby jeebys and make you writhe in pain?

Let go and let God ...
