And that scene was all part of the movie. It was there to show how we, as humans, would first react when given the ultimate power of God. We would do things on a whim. Probably not create winds to blow skirts up, but we'd do other things just as pointless, selfish and carnal.

If this was a stab at Christianity, I hope they do it more often. The movie had a great message. Trusting God. Having courage despite popular opinions or what others think . . . even close friends advisors. Family staying together through hard times.

Again, I understand it's your opinion and you're definitely entitled to it . . . but it's an unlearned, unverified opinion based upon assumption, not through first hand viewing of the movie.
I saw Bruce Almighty. I was warned about the girl before it happened. My point is that I don't have to agree with this type of filming. I've been in minor acting and I know what goes on with the props and costuming. They didn't have to use that situation and I don't have to like it.

If my husband is going to view a woman's rear end, it better be mine. That's all I'm saying. I don't care what whim they wanted to portray. They didn't have to use that one. IMHO.

All I'm saying is that I wish it didn't have to be this way.

I guess his degree in psychology doesn't have much to do with his religious persuasion. At least I wouldn't think it would.

You don't think some Trinitarians are decent? I know you were kidding.

Did you close your eyes tight and cover them with your hands to keep from seeing her legs?

Uhm, I'm sorry but I doubt props and costuming have ANYTHING to do with script-writing. I mean, I'm not an actor or anything, but I'm pretty sure those two are two different areas.

You're right, they didn't HAVE to use it, but they did. But you have the choice to watch or not to watch it . . . or purchase and edit it using film-editing software.

This isn't about SpiderMan I, II, or III - or even Bruce Almighty. It's supposed to be about Evan Almighty.

And what were you doing looking at KD's nipples!?! Good grief!

No, I didn't. I just wondered how I would feel if Jesus was sitting there watching it.

Well, sorry, but you are wrong. Everything that comes together is for a reason - costuming, make-up, lighting, script. It comes together in unity of point. It's an art.

I am saying that I just wish we didn't have to deal with it.

I mentioned the other movies, because I saw them listed on this thread. You can act silly about it, if you want, but I know the purpose of it and if you say it wasn't noticeable - you would be lying.

If you think the Director doesn't plan these type of scenes, than again, you are wrong. I know that they do.

I understand it comes together . . . but what I'm saying is the script isn't written by the prop or costume guys. That's done during the storyboard or even after.

You stated that being an actor, you know what goes on with props and costumes . . . two areas that came after that particular scene was already thought out and written.

I'm just messing with you. I agree there are things, like the kiss in Spiderman II, that could be left out without ruining the film. Yes, I noticed it . . . I'm not gonna lie!

I never said the Director doesn't plan these scenes. I did say the prop and costume department doesn't do this though . . . it's the writer and, as you've stated, the Director.

The Director tells the prop man and costuming what he wants to convey and they make suggestions that make it happen. He either agrees or tells them he needs something else. Sometimes they make the suggestion. It all works together.

Thank you for admitting you noticed it. It was VERY noticeable.
