It isn't that I don't want to learn Greek. I have Mounce's books and have read that they are just enough to make you dangerous, if you aren't careful. So, without a mentor, I would be afraid to study the language on my own.

Unless, you have a source that you could recommend.

I think there is much lost in translation from Greek to English due to the richness of the Greek language and the greater diversity of Greek Grammar, versus the English language which has morphed so much in meaning that it becomes difficult to determine what English words mean in relation to ancient Greek words. Passages become obscure.

just google but whatever lxx in English you find check the Isaiah 9:6 verse.
If the verse says
For a child is born to us, and a son is given to us, whose government is upon his shoulder, and his name is called the messenger of great counsel, < wonderful counsellor, mighty God, potentate, prince of peace, father of the age to come >
then is the original ;XX if this missing then is a critical edition.
