For all intents and purposes, the Catholic Church was the Christian voice for a significant part of our history.

From a strictly historical and secular point of view, people of the name of Jesus Christ would ALL be lumped together-- Catholics, Protestant and other "Christians" together.

But again, the Inquisitions were all about punishing "heretics" of the RCC and promoting the RCC among the heathen. They were not doing this in the name of Christ. They were do this in the name of the Pope and the RCC.

It's okay, I understand it's difficult for you to stomach the fact that the Democrats were the party to lynching and black voter suppression. Bet you're happy Robert "KKK" Byrd finally kicked the bucket. Must've been hard for Democrats to explain how one of its most prominent members was the "Exalted Cyclops," a Klansman who also notably filibustered the Civil Rights Act.
