If you are helping to row the boat (working) or have spent a significant portion of your life helping to row the boat, you should be allowed a voice on deciding the direction the boat is rowing. If not, then you have no vested interest.... yeah, I know, I would never win an election on that platform, but it's how I honestly feel.
