It does not in ANY WAY take away from Jesus when you spend a day with your family, sharing celebration and love. It is not necessary to go sit in a formal service to "celebrate Jesus birth". We celebrated Jesus right in my parents' living room yesterday.
Our church is having a 11:00 AM worship, for all the want to come. We went to Christmas eve service with our son, dnl, and grandson, last evening, our son was playing the grand piano. I love to hear the big piano, nice break from the keyboard. We did not go to our church this morning, my wife's family is coming for dinner this evening.

Some of our children have been with us since Wednesday evening until last night, we had a great time, but needed a little time for rest and preparation for this evening.

We have enjoyed celebrating God's provision for salvation for the whole world, as well as, loving each other with the giving of gifts. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to all our friends on AFF!!!!

Re: Are You Having Church Sunday?

I was wondering, what have our churches done traditionally the last couple times Christmas fell on Sunday?

Is this a new trend to forgo a Sunday morning service?

If so, I for one am glad to see the church, thinking of family instead of the bit more selfish stance that we just got to be together in a building, to be able to worship.

Re: Are You Having Church Sunday?

I know that the churches where we went would cancel because attendance would be down do to people who were out of town, or had unsaved family who were in from out of town. I have known this to be a trend for more than 15 years.
